Sweet Harmless Insanity

lyrics

I resigned this morning
I won't be held responsible for everything they've done
And I declined this morning
To issue out some statement patronizing everyone
I am not going anywhere, but I'll be sitting on some distant beach
Right here in front of you, I'll just be hard to reach

Cuz sweet, harmless insanity
Has planned for me to join the ranks
And I believe this pointless profanity
Of swimming back and forth between the banks
Of right and wrong
Will soon be gone

And I resigned this morning
I won't play commissioner to all their petty deals
And I defined this morning
A new plan to remove myself from all these spinning wheels
Of faithless, waste anxiety and everything unreal
That stares me in the face to make believe that the truth has been repealed

[Chorus]

And we are all projectiles moving by the sheer velocity
Of everything we've stored inside our heads
And as projectiles come and go I see some tread upon
And drag behind them tattered souls of no intention
To unconsidered, unseen destinations

[Chorus]
